MICHIGAN PCIP INFORMATION

There are many in population in the state of Michigan and the state has many of those near 20% that do not have coverage for health insurance. This is due to a sluggish economy as of late and many can either not afford coverage or have a pre-existing condition making it rather difficult in getting coverage from private insurance carrier underwriting guidelines. These restrictions cause a harsh result to those that need the acces to afforddable health care coverage.
The solution until coverage by the Affordable Care Act goes into full effect in 2014, has been the launch of the government program but run by the state of Michigan. PCIP or Pre-existing condition insurance plan is available to residency elligible persons. The pre-existing condition insurance plan has a list of those that qualify and here is a list of those that fit. Those that do not qualify by condition, can contact the Insurance Resource Center on this site for any alternative options. This site has not been given provisions or any marketable information on state PCIP program run by the state of Michigan. We do, however, offer a plan for association group mini medical health insurance plan. This insurance plan is not endorsement by any Federal State or Government agency rather is registered and approved by the Department of Insurance in the State of Michigan. The plan will accept those with a pre-existing conditions with no underwriting and is Guaranteed Issue regardless of medical condition if you have been without coverage for less than 6 months the plan will still accept your application without having to wait 6 months of being without coverage, however do have limitations in coverage.
