|
The great state of Montana may not have as many residents as some other states but does have quite a few thousand that are still uninsured. The introduction of the PCIP insurance plan for Montana is available but offered through the state rather than the federal adminitered programs of those that are in the 23 states.
What does this mean?
The Pre-existing condition insurance plan as it is known or full name for PCIP Montana, the plan does cover and accept those with a pre-exisitng condition that may not have been otherwise approved by a private insurer. If you have been offered a plan through a private insurer but did not accept it because they will not cover your pre-existing condition, you still may qualify for a state plan. The pre-existing condition insurance plan is not known as a guaranteed issue plan since there are also qualifying conditions as seen in the list below. Best to do your due dilligence regarding conditions not listed and inquire within. There are also plan alternatives for those that have had coverage in the last 6 months that while may not be state or federal programs are still insurance to gain access needed to the health care system.
To enroll in the pre-existing condition insurance plan (PCIP) please follow the Register Now link below.
